Race for the Galaxy is a space themed non-collectable card game created by Thomas Lehmann released in 2007 by Rio Grand Games,which is also responsible for well known Euro Style games like Carcassonne and Puerto Rico. Race for the Galaxy is for 2-4 players and is expanded to add a fifth player by Race for the Galaxy: The Gathering Storm released in October of 2008. The Game involves several unique elements including variable phase order and simultaneous action selection. The primary goal of the game is to make the biggest Victory Point gain each play.
