Rabeah Ghaffari

Rabeah Ghaffari is an Iranian-born writer and filmmaker.
Career
As a filmmaker she has made a feature length documentary, The Troupe, about a Taziyeh troupe's journey from Iran to NYC to perform at the Lincoln Center Festival, which featured Tony Kushner and was executive produced by Shirin Neshat.
As a film editor she has edited the feature length documentaries Inside Out (Competition selection of the Tribeca Film Festival 2006), "Picking Apples, Drinking Tea" and "Nobody's Enemy".
As a writer, Miss Ghaffari has written a screenplay, Neyshapoor, which was an official selection of the IFP/Emerging Narrative 2005. She was also a participant at the 2005 Berlinale Talent Campus of the Berlin International Film Festival. She was a 2006 Fellow of the Sundance Screenwriters Lab in conjunction with the Royal Film Commission of Jordan. She is currently finishing her first novel.
