Quick TransLation (qtl) is a Firefox extension to get the translation of a word by selecting it directly into a webpage. It was launched on September 3, 2007 by Mozilla. Mozilla claims 14,538 weekly downloads and 1,655,449 total downloads. Availability and accessibility The tool is a Firefox add-on freely downloadable on the Mozilla Firefox official website and is compatible only with a Firefox browser. All the versions are available, but some are not compatible with all versions of the Firefox browser. Operating With quick translation, a pop-up will appear and show the translation of the word with a double-click or with a key to select (Ctrl, Alt, F9 or F10). In addition to the translation, the tool give access to explanations on search selected word (definitions from online encyclopedias). Quick TransLation also allow the user to start a search word in the search engines selected in advance.
