Quench Zine

Background

Quench Zine is a self-published zine and blog, created in 2005 by Harvard students, alumni and their friends who wanted a forum to discuss their experiences and ideas. Quench deals with issues of sexuality, race, gender, class, religion and politics. Quench has over 30 bloggers who write under pseudonyms, from a variety of backgrounds. In addition to the blog, Quench publishes handmade "pages" in a paper version of the zine. Quench is one of the few publications that features a visible number of transgender Harvard students as contributors. Quench has been featured on Feministing, Feminist Law Professors blog, Sexual Orientation and the Law blog, , Waiting for Dorothy and Queer Today. Quench blog posts and "pages" are frequently featured by MassResistance on their website and blog. Americans for Truth lists Quench as a "Pro-Homosexuality Blog."
