Queen Lillian

Queen Lillian is the widow of King Harold, mother of Princess Fiona, and mother in-law to Shrek. She is voiced by Julie Andrews.

History
She believes in the power of true love and does not judge by first appearance; a clear example of this is the fact that she continued to love King Harold when his true frog form was revealed. While Shrek is certainly no handsome prince, she tried to make the best of things, since he and her daughter were clearly so happy together. Always polite and understanding, she is a wise and popular ruler. In addition, she has a few tricks up her sleeve.

When Prince Charming attacked Far Far Away she remained calm. After being captured, she and Fiona encouraged the other princesses to fight. She has an incredibly strong head. After Snow White remarked: "We're just four... I mean three super hot princesses, three circus freaks, a pregnant ogress and an old Lady", Lilian remarks: "Excuse me, old Lady coming through!" before smashing through a solid brick wall, stopping for a second, and then another, by using her head (like many martial artists to planks or concrete slabs). After the second she went slightly dizzy for a moment, humming "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music which also starred Julie Andrews.
