The Quechua is the Quechua language version of , spelled Wikipidiya; it's run by the Wikimedia Foundation. It was established in November 2003; it has reached 1,000 articles on December 9, 2006, and passed 2,000 articles on February 21, 2007, marking the first time a Native American language reaches these milestones.
As of January 15, 2007, it has 5.743 articles, making it the 94th largest by article count and the biggest in a Native American language.
Since its creation, it has been criticized by many Quechua speakers, as well as non-speakers, for the writing system used by the site, it uses the three vowels system (a, i, u) instead of the five vowels system (a, e, i, o, u) used by the Academia Mayor de la Lengua Quechua.
