Psychedelic Psunday was a program airing from 1985 to 2018 on CILQ-FM (Q107), a classic rock station. It aired every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The program consisted entirely of music from the psychedelic era, spanning from 1965 to 1976. The program always began with Alice Cooper's rendition of "Hello Hooray". Al Joynes hosted the show from its commencement until noon, Andy Frost, the voice of the Toronto Maple Leafs on AM 640, hosted until 6:00 p.m. The most eventful part of the show took place between 1:20 p.m. and 3:20 p.m., when the game "Riffer Madness" was played.<ref name"psychedelicpsunday" /> A riff from a song from the psychedelic era was played, and listeners could phone in and identify the song to win prizes. At 2:00, one side of a classic rock album from the psychedelic era was played in its entirety. During the last years of the show this was changed to "the interactive album side", essentially a request line with listeners suggesting songs via email, text, and social media. This album side usually correlates with the topic of the current Classic Rock Weekend. Lastly, Frost took calls, emails, and plays listeners' requests from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.<ref name"psychedelicpsunday" /> The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, The Beatles and Pink Floyd were often heard throughout the program. John Scholes hosted from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.<ref name="psychedelicpsunday" /> Psychedelic Psunday broadcast its final show on Sunday, May 27, 2018, after a 33-year run.
