Anderson Council

The Anderson Council or Anderson Council (sometimes spelled Anderson Counsel) is or was the name of several small music bands, mostly Pink Floyd tribute bands.

Overview

Pink Floyd having derived their name from joining the first names of bluesmen Pink Anderson and Floyd Council, many bands thought of joining their last names into "Anderson Council".

They include, chronologically, at least:

By 1997, Andrew and Brian were replaced by Charlie Cohen (bass, vocals), and Rob Moore (guitars). This line-up was to become the core of an improv/jam focus which found some success in Richmond, and even more in the jam-band fertile Harrisonburg, VA, home to James Madison University.
