Prosig is a British company specializing in hardware and software solutions for noise and vibration measurement. The name "Prosig" is derived from the term "<u>SIG</u>nal <u>PRO</u>cessing". History Prosig was formed in 1977 by staff from the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) at University of Southampton. In 1986, the company founded Prosig USA Inc. A Michigan office was opened in 1996. In 2001, an engineering center was opened in the same area. Products Prosig's products are split into two main groups. Mobile noise & vibration measurement systems: * P8000 - a range of mobile measurement hardware for accelerometers, microphones, strain gauges, CAN-bus, GPS, pressure sensors and other measurement transducers. * DATS - a software package to process digital signals especially those related to Noise, Vibration, and Harshness measurement, powertrain analysis, human response to vibration, analysis and general noise & vibration measurement and condition monitoring of large scale rotating machines such as power stations. Condition Monitoring / Vibration Health Monitoring: * PROTOR - provides hardware and software for online condition monitoring of , main boiler feedwater pumps, fans, motors and other auxiliary plant equipment. * PROTOR-mobile - a smaller, mobile version of the PROTOR system International Support Prosig maintain a network of support agents in Europe, India, China, Japan, South America and throughout the rest of the world.
