Prosfiction

Prosfiction is exploration and extrapolation of fictional realities and the integration in the current context and circumstance. More specific it is the focal point of the integration of C1,C2 and C3 creating the Actual. The Actual is in this understanding the current perceived reality by a person. This reality is composed by a specific context and circumstance, where each contexts has n possible circumstances.
The term "prosfiction" was first used by Dr. Salvador Ghelfi Raza in his dissertation: "Security, Technology, and International Relations: Towards a Theory of Force Design". Dr. Raza is Prof. of the Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies of the National Defense University in Washington, D.C. and Diretor do CeTRIS - Centro de Tecnologia, Relações Internacionais e Segurança.

It has a practical use for creating after next logical structures and identify new form, function and value of current repressed or future realities. Due its characteristics it serves as a transition space between unknown objects, paradoxes and paradigms and the actual.

Fiction
Fiction, in contrast to traditional understanding, is in this approach timeless and therefore not necessarily future orientated. Fictional scenarios can be constructed by altering our history, today's and future variables, generating several parallel existing realities. Each reality follows a own form, function and values. Fiction is about unusual possibilities and forms an transition space of extreme perspectives. Time in fiction is a variable that in case applied, increases with distance the probability of a higher structured reality and the possibility of creating a new value system. This however can also be generated due to so called Black Swan events, events with a high impact and a low probability
Prospection
Prospection is in our case the identification of forms, functions or values that are worth to be extracted and integrates from different realities into the actual. In the prosfiction approach, prospection creates the bridge between the actual and the parallel realities turning fiction practicable and allowing to address the new identified opportunities.
The integrational function of it can be illustrated based on the following two definitions:

* Prospecting is the physical search for minerals, fossils, precious metals or mineral specimens, and is also known as fossicking.
* Prospection is defined by psychologist Daniel Gilbert in his novel Stumbling on Happinessas
(Gilbert 2006:1)

C1, C2, C3
Prosfiction is the focal point of the integration of three different contexts (c). Each context has n possible circumstances and is created by fictions, that are each timeless.
The difference between the three elements is the complexity of the contexts.
* C1 is a context is defined by the logic of causality and tendencies and the theory of action. It is mostly structured by known linear chain of logic's and has as an objective to increase the effective of outputs with a high probability of repeatability (examples: traditional strategic planning, process management).
* C2 is a context of propensity and the theory of reality. Due to multiple chains of logic that exist in this reality, complexity is higher also following a strong conditioned probability. This means that is highly likely that Y is the result of X, however limited by low or no repeatability. Taking the increased complexity into consideration new realities can be explored. This contexts are mostly applied by R&D and current Innovation and Design Processes as well as focus as a result on an increase of efficiency.
* C3 defines the context with the highest complexity and a creation of its own theory of reality. It works not anymore with logic chains but with paradoxes and paradigms, creating new realities by reconfiguration of known unknown and unknown unknown variables. This context represents the theory of rupture and the creation of the unlikely as well as new paradoxes. C3 contexts create, if identified, new possibilities to increase the effectiveness of the given system.
Applying terms of innovation each of the contexts represents:
* C1: Adaptability Innovation
* C2: Modernization
* C3: Generation of new realities

The actual, reality perceived by the reader in this moment, is a combination of C1, C2, C2 linking elements of each contexts with the current focal point, prosfiction.
