Promise me not is a series of novels, set in Groven Falls, Minnesota. Pages range from 256-347.
Katie Shany
Katelyn “Katie” Sonya Shany is the eleven-year-old star of her own television show, G-force TV. She has brown hair and eyes, and she enjoys riding her bike. Her birthday is March 21, making her an Aries, and her birthstone is a diamond.
In book 3, Katie loses her mother to a long-fought illness, and she, her father, and her brother Kennan move to Florida to move on from their previous live. Katie returns to Groven Falls in book 5.
Samantha Coffer
Samantha “Sam” Coffer is a brown-haired, blue eyed eleven-year-old who is Katie’s best friend. She is aggressive and rude, much like Sam in the iCarly series. She will not hesitate to defend her friends and herself, but is very slow to defend Wally when a group of eighth-graders try to stuff him into a locker, even going so far as to encourage them before she finally gets him out, but not before banging on the locker to agitate him further.
Samantha, in contrast to Katie, hates riding bikes. Her birthday is June 3, making her a Gemini, and her birthstone is alexandrite.
In book 5, Katie returns to Groven Falls, and accuses Sam of replacing her right away with a new best friend, Daniella Dune. Both girls deny it right away, but Katie isn’t convinced, and she and Sam need three more books to become best friends again.
Wally and Leona
Wally and Leona are twins with red hair and green eyes, born on February 5, making them Capricorns, and their birthstone is amethyst.
Wally has a deep crush on Leslie, which eventually turns into love. There is a small hint that she returns his feelings in book 7:
Danessa: My brother likes you a lot.
Leslie: I don’t doubt it.
Danessa: He likes you a whole lot, if you know what I mean.
Leslie: I’d go out with him if I wasn’t so sure he hates me.
Danessa: He doesn’t. And why would you?
Leslie: Let’s just say that I do not try to actually attempt to metaphorically hate him, but I don’t not really try to like him either. Not to say that I don’t not actually quite literally have a crush on him either.
Danessa: What?
Leona is always happy, except when Wally is not. In contrast to her sister Danessa,
Leona is very light-hearted and she tries to make everyone’s day fun.
Emily, Jade, Danessa, Daniel, Justin, Giselle and Amanda are other characters.
Book one, Die another Weekend, starts the series from Katie's point of veiw. Book two, Love me Not, is from Samantha's perspective, then Danessa, then Wally, and so on.
