Girlfriends is a series of books written for teenagers by a nouvelle author.
The Girlfriends series is based on 4 best friends.Carmen,Jasmine,India and Ty Li.The 4 friends go through fights,love,school,teenage crisis's and boys.Each book is written from one friends perpective showing how each girl deals with the dilemma's they face.
Plot
Winter Wonders is the first book in the series of Girlfriends.The story is in Carmen's perspective,the beautiful Carmen,falls inlove with Preston Romano the ever so gorgeous italian stud things are going well until Preston has some heartbreaking news for Carmen.
Main Characters
Carmen Cortez-
A very beautiful tall girl, with silky black hair which falls down to her hips,and piercing blue eyes.She is fifteen years of age,Her birthday is November 24th.She was born in seville a city spain in where she lived until she was two, she then moved to leeds in england where she lives with her spanish mother who owns a popular beauty salon, her spanish father who is a university lecturer at manchester university,her older brother Enrique who is nicknamed Rick he is eighteen, her unidentical twin sister Carmelita and her youngest sister Rosa who is aged eleven.She has two cats named Snowbell and Whiskey.Carmen stands at five foot nine, she is the tallest girl in her year, and also the fastest runner and best at sports in her whole school, she is incredibly intelligent,Carmen dates a couple of boys popstar Preston Romano and her basketball team mate Harper Lewis.Carmen aspires to be a journalist/novelist.
Jasmine Banks-
A tall girl with short fiery red hair with copper highlights in a sharp bob and grey eyes,her natural hair colour is blonde, her birthday is on February 21st,She stands at five foot seven, Jasmine is into astrology,horoscopes,reading tarots, mediation and yoga.Jasmine is a vegetarian and she is a talented a cook, she aspires to a proffesional chef and one day own her own restaurant.She lives with her mum in leeds who owns a successful yoga and meditation centre,her stepfather Perry who is a banker, her little half-brother Nicholas who is seven and her white labrador dog,Banjo.Her real father died when she was twelve years.Jasmine doesn't date many boys as she is in a "complicated" relationship with Luke Di Caprio a very handsome seventeen year old boy, they have an on and off relationship later they date properly and become girlfriend and boyfriend.
Indianna-Jane "India" Francis-
A pretty fifteen year old girl with chocolate brown skin,shoulder-length black hair with a blue streak and light brown eyes.Her birthday is October 2nd,India stands at five foot eight. she lives in leeds with her jaimaican mother who works as a neurologist, her dominican father who is a surgeon, her older sister Ella whose seventeen and her younger brother Robert who is ten,She is a dance group which has won Many competitions, India aspires to be a proffesional dancer.She goes out with several boys but falls for Carmens boyfriend Harper Lewis, who she seriously dates later on.
Ty Li Yung-
A stylish fifteen year old girl who later joins the group when she moves from california in america, with long jet black hair and dark brown eyes.Her birthday is on April 30th, she is the shortest of her three friends as she stands at five foot three.She lives with her japanese father who owns a very successful chain of expensive japanese restaurants around the world, her Aunt Lin,her pet chihuahua, Pixie and her white poodle Artie.Her Thai mother is the mega-movie international superstar Jai Li who she doesn't live with as her mother does movies around the world and her older sister is Mei-Ling a famous supermodel who does many modelling jobs all over the world.Ty Li aspires to be a fashion designer and one day own her own fashion magazine named after her, Ty Li falls for Carmen's, older brother Rick, they end up dating.

Rick Cortez-
Carmen's very attractive older brother, who is eighteen years old with short black hair and piercing blue eyes,he later dates Ty Li, one of Carmen's best friends.
Preston Romano-
A tall unbelievebly gorgeous,eighteen year old boy with emerald green eyes,a well built body and short dark brown,He stands at five foot eleven.He has strong feelings for Carmen, but later has to break up with her as he has to move to America to start his music career, in the end he is reuninted with Carmen and they date seriously.
Harper Lewis-
A very handsome tall sixteen year old boy, with short honey blonde hair and amber eyes.He stands at five foot ten.Harper is in the same basketball team as Carmen,he develops feelings for her, they date for a short while as later on in the relationship, both India and Harper develop feelings for eachother, in the end India and him they date properly.
Luke Di Caprio-
A tall very good looking italian stud, with magohaney brown eyes and short dark brown eyes.He is seventeen years old.He stands at five foot nine.Luke dates Jasmine on and off, but later they date seriously.
