Program Management Professional

Program Management Professional (PgMP) is a certification in program management managed by the Project Management Institute in accordance with their published standard A Standard for Program Management.
Eligibility
Applicants with a bachelor's degree must have six thousand hours of non-overlapping of project management experience and six thousand hours of non-overlapping hours of program manager experience over the last 15 years. Applicants without a bachelor's degree must have six thousand hours of non-overlapping of project management experience and ten thousand five hundred hours of non-overlapping hours of program manager experience over the last 15 years
The Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is not prerequisite for obtaining the PgMP certification.
Application Process
There are three parts to PMI's PgMP assessment process, including:
• An application process that includes a review of education by PMI staff and a review of work experience by a panel of program managers
• A four-hour exam composed on 170 multiple-choice questions
• A multi-rater assessment (MRA) in which the applicant selects a team of colleagues and peers to evaluate their performance as a program manager via a web-based survey
