Preston Chargers

The Preston Chargers are a men's futsal club currently playing the Templstowe Heights Futsal League. The main sponsor for this club is Ahmet Hyska's Cakes and Pattiserie shop in Northcote.
History
In 2003 they made their debut appearance in the Templetsowe Heights Futsal League and came runners up to Sharks F.C in the final. The final score was 4-1.
After the 2003 season was over they applied for the Albanian National Futsal Comp. They got knocked out in the Group Stage by the likes of Tirana Snipers, Shkoda Reds and Durres F.C.
In 2005 they didnt play in the Templstowe Heights Futsal League because they got kicked out the previous year, but they played in the Albanian National Futsal Comp and they won the final 14-0 against Tirana Snipers, with Adem the Belgian scoring 9.
In 2007 they won the league by 23 points and won the final 7-0 against Doncaster Rovers F.C. They were unbeaten that season.
In 2008 they went back to back by winning the final 12-3 against Warrandyte Wolves F.C. Also Geni the German import scoring 5.
In late 2008 Preston Chargers took part in the Australian Futsal Championships which they got knocked out by Broome Gunners in the semi finals losing 6-5. The tournament was held in Adelaide. The top scorer for Preston Chargers was the Singapore import Ali scoring 23 in 6 games. The Qatar import Jaron Mustafa could not play this tournament because Pizza Hut just accepted the offer for him to work there for work experience for 3 months.
Early 2009 they send Max out on loan to St. Albans Lighting Futsal Club for experience seen as that he's only 3 years old.
Jaron the Qatar International was sent to Anger Managment camp by Noli' and Urim Emini for 1 week.
In late 2009 Preston won the 2009 Templestowe Heights Futsal League and the Australian Fustal Championships. They went unbeaten winning 23 and drawing 3 to finish on top by 14 pts.
In the Templestowe competition they beat Donny Rovers F.C 5-1 in the final.
In the Australian Futsal Competetion they defeated Bell Maccas F.C 8-2 where Geni the german import scoring 6. He won man of the match.
About 1 month after that tournament they got invited to the Albanian National Fustal Comp, which they won their group against the likes of Lorik Cana Boys F.C, Durres F.C and Kosova F.C. The player of the tournament was Agim Dalipi the Albanian conceeding just 3 goals in 8 games. The assistant coach Lirim Kamberopulos saying that" i have never seen any better than Agim in goals".
The european foward line of Geni and Adem were causing rave reviews scoring 67 goals in 10 matches. Manchester United made a bid for Adem but it was rejected
Ali the Singapore player would not be playing from 1 March 2010 to 1 June 2010 to due to his wedding.
About Templestowe Heights Futsal League
There are about 64 teams each year in this league. The Top 32 progress from the group stage, then 16 progress. The last 16 play home and away legs against teams that they were drawn to play against. The Last 8 has only 1 leg. The last four play each other in a round robin. Then there's the final.
Controversy At Albanian National Futsal Comp
At the 2009 Albanian National Futsal Comp, Adem the Belgian import hitting Geni the Germany import in the face with a steel pole. Adem said that "Geni was acting like a smartass to me and go cry to your daddy". Jaron the gun Qatar International said to "Adem well done brother you little shooting star".
Adem received a 65 match ban from any futsal comp and Geni would be kicked out of the club in 2 months time after a court hearing on 15 December 2009 in Victoria at the Magistrates' Court.
