Prefects Board of SMK Bandar Tun Hussein Onn

The Lembaga Pengawas (transliterate: Prefects Board) of SMK Bandar Tun Hussein Onn is a body that handles disciplinary cases and execution is SMKBTHO, as well as daily prefect duties.

Background

SMKBTHO's disciplinary execution are mainly run by prefects and discipline teachers. The official uniform for male prefects are white long sleeve shirt, white trouser and a maroon blazer. The official uniform for female prefects are white long sleeve blouse, maroon long skirt and a maroon blazer; however they are allowed to wear white baju kurung with a maroon kain kurung on inofficial occasions.

The prefects headcount are approximately 120+ per year, which concludes roughly 5% of the school population. The prefects are chosen through interviews by the Prefects Council and approved by the Acting Advisor, rather than the meritocracy method.

An Advisor acts as the person in charge of all prefects, and is the mediator of the prefects and the school administrators.

Head Boy
Head Boy, initially "Head Prefect" before 2008, acts as the commanding personnel of all prefects. It is a tradition that they are selected from the Upper Form 6 prefects.

Head Girl
Initially, a Head Girl were called "Vice-Head Prefect" and acts as an assistant to Head Boy. In 2008, they were given the title Head Girl and are equivalent to a Head Boy; and is given her own assistant.

Secretary of the Prefects

Treasurer of the Prefects
The Treasurer holds the money collected from prefects monthly fees, prefects sales collections and others. Lim Kit Yeng was the longest serving Treasurer, served for 4 consecutive years.

The Bureaus

Prefects Discipline Bureau
The Discipline Bureau was first introduced by Afzyim Azlan in 2005. The bureau are mainly consisted of 'strict' prefects; they usually handle delinquents cases. They also handle breach of ethics among prefects.
