Precuylerosis

A syndrome thought to affect production food animals often associated with pine bedding material. Low quality pine bedding material contains foreign matter that may include bark, cones, and pitch. As the material degrades it creates an environment unsuitable for production and slows growth of the animals. Precuylerosis differs from other slow growth conditions like "Runting and Stunting Syndrome" as it is not from a lack of minerals, but rather an over abundance. Posting sessions (necropsy) often show liver damage upon initial inspection and field observations show slower brain development than birds without Precuylerosis. Current field trials are being run to confirm this analysis.
