Prayware is computer software that is distributed freely, but that the authors request (or require) that users of the software pray for them (the author) or for another cause. It is similar to freeware. History The term prayware was coined by Ferruh Mavituna when he wanted to distribute his Namaz Vakitleri (Prayer Times) software he just wanted to receive thanks in Islamic way. So he created some kind of freeware license called "Prayware". The user had to pray for him at least once, saying "Allaz razı olsun!" can be translated as "God bless him!"
