Prakash Ambegaonkar is the founder and CEO of Bridging Nations, a non-partisan, non-profit policy organization based in Washington, D.C. that explores ways to facilitate cooperation in an increasingly interdependent and multipolar world.
Previously, he founded three technology companies. Tellus Technologies was one of the first software companies in India; while E-Lock created the digital signature products; Frontier Technologies was an Intranet company. Ambegaonkar was named Inc.s Regional Entrepreneur of the Year in 1995.
Ambegaonkar is the founder and honorary CEO of the Bridging Nations Foundation, a think-tank in Washington, D.C. that focuses on the issues of leadership, technology and education, working to make education a universal birthright.
Ambegaonkar received two master's degrees in electrical and industrial engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Marquette University. He lives in McLean, Virginia with his wife Nunda.
