"Practitioning" is the art of bringing theory into practice relates specifically to discussions on sustainability and the requirement for all of us to learn to be in action in order to make a difference in our environmental (or other) outcomes, currently human beings are not good at this at all (i.e. taking theory and putting into practice). derived from meaning of the word practice - "repetition of an activity in order to achieve mastery and fluency"(Collins Dictionary, 1987). term coined by Mr Greg Bruce an Environmental Manager and recently presented in a paper given at a Sustainability Conference in Chennai, India (3rd International Conference on Environmental, Cultural, Economic, & Social Sustainability, University of Madras, January 2007). |
