Power Point Ranger

Power Point Ranger is a daily cartoon strip which pokes fun at the United States Army and various other branches of the Armed Forces. The cartoon derives its name from PowerPoint Ranger, the military slang for someone who gives briefings all day long and sees little, if any, combat.
Style and themes
The comics are presented in a single frame, though sometimes subdivided, and is intentionally drawn with crude drawing tools typical of those used to create presentations including the use of standard callouts and speech balloons for text.
Each comic stands alone and there are no major ongoing storylines though several themes run through most of the comics. The most popular are the "MOS" or "Military Occupation Specialty" cartoons, which make fun of specific jobs in the Army. Others include "Tips for New Soldiers", "Tips for Army Wifes" (from Tiffany Amber) and "TYWNSINTA" (Things You Will Never Seen In The Army), itself a satire on military acronyms. A popular in joke is the use of PT belts in every conceivable situation.
Although there is a recurring cast of characters such as Dr. Gupta, Captain Obviouski, Lt. White and Specialist Princess, the most popular is [http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=100001697226467 Tiffany Amber Smith], a misguided, stereotypical military wife who has her own Facebook page and almost 1000 fans.
