Power Koteshwara Rao (PKR)

Power Koteshwara Rao (born 4 May 1969), popularly known by his initials P.K.R is working as an Assistant Divisional Engineer/ Electrical/line sub-division, Nehru Nagar Division, SCADA Circle, Hyderabad.
Early life
Dheeravathu Koteshwara Rao was born in Manga Puram Thanda village in Khammam of Telangana, India. He grew up in a society where he could observe the regional differences in the society and always had an urge to eradicate such differences from the people’s minds.
He completed his higher education in his village. He studied B-Tech(Electrical) from a renowned university like JNTU at Anantapur Andhra Pradesh in the year 1993-1997.
Personal life
In 1988, Koteshwara Rao married pushpavathi. They have two daughters, Srilatha and Srilalitha, and a son, Srikanth working in Railway Department as Chief Department Material Superintendent.
From his childhood, he observed the discrimination between the rich and poor and he also recognized the disparity amongst them, the rich getting richer and powerful and the poor becoming poorer, needy, and suppressed. Power Koteshwara Rao tried and made visible efforts to eradicate this dissimilarity from the society and he received encouragement and continuous support from his wife and family.
We rise by lifting others, He always had a desire to be a part of the public life, he worked for orphans and old age home people not bothering about any caste, creed, and religion. He has relentlessly worked for farmers and improved electrical supply to farmers. He has worked selflessly and honestly to bring possible changes in the society.
He was also an important leader of the Telangana agitation and has contributed significantly to the movement. He believed that one must never be fearful about what you are doing when it is right. He was also overpowered by the people of Andhra Pradesh for supporting the Telangana movement yet he did not fail in his intentions and stood strong and faithful.
Career
In 1993-1997 completed his higher education. After graduation, he joined as an Electrical engineer in APSEB (Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Board) in 1998 at Gurrampadu Mandal, Nalgonda district. Later he served as an Assistant Engineer/operations at Miryalaguda and Kodada in Nalgonda district. He has also served as a Deputy Executive Engineer at the Department of Medical and health in Koti, Hyderabad and Electrical Wing with GHMC presently he is working as an Assistant DivisionalEngineer, TSSPDCL Lines sub-division in a north division in Secunderabad.
He has always worked with zeal and devotion to improve the organization's reputation. Whilst he was serving in Nalgonda he relentlessly worked for the betterment of electrical usage and technology by farmers and he counseled the farmers for the adaptation of the newest technology and improve their production with less consumption of electricity. His work was clear and acknowledged by the management and for which he received appreciation, commendation, and citations by the authorities.
He presumed that consistent hard work and perseverance will ring him to success. His work achievements are enormously appreciable. He has received a certificate of appreciation for his valuable contribution to APCPDCL in curbing the pilferage of energy for his commendable services rendered. He has also studied about customer satisfaction, communication, and outreach in the year 2005 and was certified for the same. He was also a part of ASIA invest program EULIGHTINDIA project. He has also received a certificate of recognition from authorities like GHMC for his meritorious services rendered for the department. He was also recognized for his work and contribution in agricultural activities and farming and he was also awarded as the “Best farmer-Uttama Rythu” by Janmabhoomi in the year 1997 and even now his contribution in the agriculture sector in Telangana.
