Gudur Narayana Reddy

Gudur Narayana Reddy (born 26 February 1963) is a Bharatiya Janata Party leader from Telangana, he was All Indian Congress Committee member and also treasurer of Telangana Pradesh congress committee. He contested in 2019 Telangana MLA quota MLC elections. He studied B.com, LLB from Osmania University.
He started his political career in 1979 as a youth congress worker, in 1994 he got involved in congress party activities, and in 2002 he entered into state congress of Andhra Pradesh and worked to mobilize the support for the Andhra Pradesh State congress party. After congress party came into the power in Andhra Pradesh state, he became convener of K.G. Gas Protection Committee. In 2006, he became member of All Indian Congress Committee. He also worked as spokesperson of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee. In 2010, he Worked as a district returning officer for Northern Chennai of Tamil Nadu state. In his professional career he has been working in several business ventures in the civil aviation, advertisement, exports, construction, trading and real estate industries. He is also involved in agriculture and farming business. On 7 December 2020 he joined BJP party in presence of BJP President JP Nadda.
Covid-19
During the COVID-19 nationwide lockdown, he actively involved in the relief activities to bring awareness about COVID-19, and he also distributed face masks and sanitizers to the poor people. He came forward to establish plasma donors association in Telangana state to encourage people who recovered from COVID-19 to donate plasma for the recovery of other COVID-19 patients.
Telangana Plasma Donors Association
Gudur Narayana Reddy started Telangana Plasma Donors Association with 80 members and out of whom 30 members were eligible to donate the plasma, in the first five days after the association has been setup, they were able to connect 42 donors with the patients who were in need of plasma of COVID-19 recovered patients.
During a video conference with Governor of Telangana, he asked Telangana State government to set up mobile units of plasma collection so that COVID-19 recovered patients can donate their plasma without any fear of getting the COVID-19 virus again when they go to hospital to donate plasma, and he also urged Telangana government to take immediate measures to increase the use of plasma therapy to treat the COVID-19 patients
Personal life
He is born to Gudur Manga Reddy and Gudur Bharathi Reddy. He is married to Padmavathi Reddy and has two daughters (Priyadarshini, Shamanthika) and a son (Gudur Pranay Reddy).
After being in Congress party for 40 years, he joined BJP on Monday, 7 December 2020.
