Surender Singh Narwal (born 24 December 1960)in a Hindu Jat family, village Kheri Naru Karnal
He is an Indian National Congress Politician, and current Distt Congress President Karnal Haryana State in India.He contested against Manohar Lal Khattar (BJP) Chief Minister of Haryana from Karnal in the Haryana Legislative Assembly election, 2014
Early life
Surender Singh Narwal was born to Ch. Balbir Singh Narwal and Prakash Vati at the Kheri Naru village in Karnal district of Haryana in a Hindu Jats family. His father Ch. Balbir Singh Narwal was a Gram Panchyat Sarpanch, agriculturist and businessman.
He did his B.A. from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.He is MA LL.B. from Bundelkhand University Jhansi He started his political career from Youth Congress.

Narwal married Sushila Dahiya in 1988.
Having two children, Satinder Singh Narwal and Shivani Narwal.
Political career
He started his political career as a member of College Student Union-1979 and was later elected as Block Panchayat Samittee Nissing Karnal in 1990-1995. He was elected as Director The Karnal Central Co-operative Bank Limited (Panipat&Karnal) 1991-1995.
He then elected as Member Zila Parishad Karnal for two consecutive terms 1994-1999 & 1999-2004.
His mother Smt. Prakash Vati was unanimously elected as Chairperson Zila Parishad Karnal 2004-2009

Business Career
Narwal started his business journey in 1983, he is the introducer of Liberty Shoes in India, having distribution network and chain of exclusive showrooms in South India. Won many awards as successful businessman.
