Power Hungry Performance

Power Hungry Performance is a US corporation specializing in electronic performance products.
Power Hungry Performance was founded in 2007 by William (Bill) and Corey Cohron. The main goal of the company was to provide performance upgrade solutions for Ford gasoline and turbo-diesel vehicles.
Background
As the founder and lead tuner/engineer for Power Hungry Performance, Bill Cohron has been involved in motorsports since 1982. In 1998, Bill was hired as a calibration engineer at Superchips to take over the development and tuning for all Ford applications, including the Ford Mustang, the Ford F-Series, and the highly popular Power Stroke Diesel. It was during this time that Bill honed his skills as a calibration engineer and developed many of the tuning process and calibrations that are still in use today.
The Diesel Power Years
In late 2000, Bill and Corey relocated to North Carolina and started Diesel Power to meet the growing demand for custom tuning on Power Stroke Diesel equipped vehicles. As the performance industry began to develop aftermarket components for these applications, it was quickly realized that custom tuning would be required to make these modifications work correctly. From 2000 to 2003, Diesel Power gained a reputation as one of the leaders in Ford Custom Tuning and ultimately caught the eye of Edge Products, a performance company based in Ogden, Utah.
The Edge Products Years
In January of 2004, Diesel Power was sold to Edge Products and Bill was hired as the lead engineer in charge of development of all Ford related products. Bill, along with a team of engineers including Jay Wilhite, Doug Brainard, Monte Wingle and Stephen Peterson, developed the highly popular Evolution platform. In 2005, the Evolution 2, the first dash-mounted, full-function programmer was released and continues to be a highly successful platform. The Evolution 2 platform has been expanded to cover not only the 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel, but also the 6.0L diesel, the 6.4L diesel, and the F-Series gasoline applications.
Starting Power Hungry Performance
In June of 2007, Bill and his family moved from Utah to Georgia in order to partner with an existing performance company that was heavily involved in the tuning of the Power Stroke Diesel. Ultimately this venture failed to materialize, so in October of 2007 Bill and his wife Corey started Power Hungry Performance. Initially, the focus of the company was on providing custom tuning on the Evolution 2 platform for F-Series gasoline vehicles. This was extremely successful and the company expanded its application base to again include the Power Stroke Diesel, passenger car applications, and the Navistar International fleet of vehicles.
Moving Forward
Power Hungry Performance was the first company to offer "Remote Live Tuning", giving performance enthusiasts the ability to have their vehicles custom tuned from anywhere in the country through an internet connected laptop.
