Politics, as defined by noted American political scientist, Harold Lasswell, is the process of resolving conflicts and deciding "who gets what, when, and how".

Popular Culture as defined by dictionary.com is "cultural activities or commercial products reflecting, suited to, or aimed at the tastes of the general masses of people."
Popular culture can come in many forms, this article addresses books, television shows, and movies that are either based on politics, or have come out of the realm of politics. Pop culture and politics frequently collide for entertainment and educational purposes.
