A plotbunny is a fictious rabbit created by the fanfiction community in order to express the idea of a plot in one's mind in a tangeable form, usually by biting with extremely long fangs. These bunnies are often mischevious or downright evil, being cited as doing anything from inconvinantly dropping dead to multiplying out of control. However, the most common complaint is of the bunnies launching a hostile takeover of the mind and not leaving the author in peace, closely followed by taking a plot and running in a completely unintended direction with it. The general attitude of most authors towards plotbunnies is that of a love-hate relationship.
Additionally, plotbunnies are often described as resembling the Killer Rabbit from Money Python and the Holy Grail or the Rabbits from Rayman: Raving Rabbids.
