Plain Talk Volume 1- Everything you ever and never wanted to know about Racism and Stereotypes is a series dedicated to enlightening people on matters of Race. The Title "Plain Talk" refers to the conversational manner of the series. Plain Talk Volume 1 is designed to open candid conversations about race, racism, stereotypes and other related subjects. A number of valid examples are given throughout the book to give readers a mental picture of the points the author is trying to make.
The author of Plain Talk has been very vocal about an all-white basketball League (AABA) run by Don "Moose" Lewis. Augusta is one of 12 cities targeted by Mr. Lewis. In an open letter to Mr. Lewis, The authorlays out the unique racial history of Augusta and why an all-white league will push the city of Augusta back. Augusta is famously portrayed in the movie for the singer's stance on the desegregation laws at the Bell Auditorium. Augusta is also still under a federal court order for the desegregation of it's schools. Also, Augusta was not immune to the race riots of the 1970's.

Media Theory—Piling It On
Plain Talk contains a theory about the mainstream media called: "Piling It On".
This theory says that the media turns a scandal/story/episode involving a celebrity of color into a story that is racially polarizing by "Piling On" the highly negative, excessive, and sensationalized coverage. As a result, many white people began to be very negative towards the celebrity of color. In turn, many black people began to defend the celebrity of color. Examples given to back this theory up: Kanye West interruption of Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMA's---Serena Williams' tirade at the 2009 U.S. Open.
