Pittsburgh Today Live

History
Pittsburgh Today Live is a morning talk/variety program airing at 9 A.M. on KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh. Based on the top-rated, Pittsburgh 2Day, which was seen on KDKA during the late 70s up until 1990, the show was resurrected in 2004 as KDKA Morning Show. Jennifer Antkowiak was the host. In 2005 Jennifer Antkowiak left KDKA, leaving the position to Kristine Sorensen. Occasionally Jon Burnett co-hosts; also, Brenda Waters or Keith Jones may fill-in. Valerie Abati reports the local weather forecast. PTL airs at 9am right before Guiding Light. In 2004 KDKA aired Martha at 9 and PTL at 10. In 2006 it moved PTL back to 9, Guiding Light at 10, and Dr.Phil at 3 P.M.. PTL/KDKA have many contests too. A Permanent Segment is Cooking with Rania, this segment is on every Friday. Pittsburgh Today Live is mostly watched by women, the ratings are pretty okay. The ratings are okay because of Guiding Light at 10.

Okay.....every wednesday on Whirl Wednesday - Christine Tumpson sits there HOLDING the magazine for all to see...and it just looks silly!! Half the time the lighting reflects off of it and you can't see it either. WHY don't you just put the magazine on a little easel right on the middle of the table? It could be placed so that the shot shows it - so that it's sitting inbetween the host and Ms.Tumpson so it's visable, not in the way and she doesn't have to look silly holding it! Just a GOOD suggestion. Thanks! Love the show!
