I am 65 years old, from central lower Michigan and in these parts, pinch day was the day after one's birthday.

I am from Michigan also, and my mother celebrated pinch day too. But there were two other days after a persons birthay that she celebrated too, but I can't remember what they were. Do you know what they were? Thanks.

Perhaps at least one of the other days was the second day after one's birthday, known as "kissing day" which of course followed 'pinching day'. Use your imagination what the third day might mean to you!

The days after Pinch Day were Hug Day and Kiss Day (but I'm not sure of the order). My mother was from NE PA and I grew up in NW PA where it was pretty common.

I am also 65 and mom, who just turned 90 yesterday, ask if I remembered it was pinch day for her and her twin brother. We are life long residents of SW Iowa.

I turned 65 yesterday and a fellow employee just gave me a pinch. He is also of our era. I'm from the western side of Michigan but my mother's people came from PA.

Yes, I am from Northern Indiana. We celebrated pinching day the day after a bday. I celebrate it with my kids, but we do get odd looks from others when we mention it, too.
