Pied Piper Records

Pied Piper Records is an independent record label based in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S.A.

Pied Piper Records History

The label was started by label President Craig Cumming in 2004 in Orlando, Florida, and moved its operations to Nashville in late 2006. Once the move to Nashville was complete, the label started to focus its efforts on the release of its first projects.

The first artist to sign to the label was Karl Morgan, a singer and blues guitarist from Western Australia. Karl signed to the label at the beginning of 2006 and completed his debut record Talkin' With the Hands in late 2006. It was the label's first ever release in early 2007.

Not long after this came the Pied Piper debut record from mid-western singer songwriter Jason Libs when he released When All Else Falls Away in mid-2007.

In early 2008 the label announced that they had added UK chart history making band Koopa to their existing roster, along with the news that Mark Hoppus from Blink 182 and would be producing their debut record.

Also in 2008 Pied Piper and Cumming also took on the management of Australian-based Bay Area MC Snob Scrilla. Snob Scrilla is currently signed to Ivy League Records and has an EP "The Day Before" out in Australia in July 2008.

Pied Piper Records also owns a recording studio named Alpha Studios Nashville located in Arrington, Tennessee (just minutes east of Franklin, Tennessee). The studio and the label's continuing efforts to support independent musicians was featured in the June 2008 issue of ProSound News.
