Pia December

Pia December Holmes (born December 11, 1962), formerly known as "The Beeper Queen" of Compton, CA is an American Euro-Soul singer, songwriter, and owner of DECEMBERLAND Publishing Company. Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, she graduated from San Fernando High School and enrolled at Occidental College and was first exposed to singing and dancing while serving a tour of duty in the United States Army in Stuttgart, Germany from 1984 - 1988. She later appeared as solo artist on Dr. Dre Back 'n the Day in 1996. She currently is lead singer/songwriter of the musical collaboration DOKAPIA along with European music sensations Tilman Sommer and Titus Kostler. Current owner of DECEMBERLAND Publishing Company (Ascap)
