YOYO is a PHP software platform designed by Christopher Isaac Deilson, Krishna Jacobs to solve a communication problem between multilingual Israeli immigrants and monolingual Hebrew speaking Israeli citizens for the Yad1 website. In order to implement the functional goals of Yad1.org, a new PHP software platform was written: YOYO, which became YOYO/m - for mobile devices. YOYO was designed as a standalone PHP multidimensional interactive LAMP application that is independent of its host server. It can be removed and transported to new or multiple servers with little or no server reconfigurations. YOYO refers to the implementers' ability to remove and relocate the software and all information stored by the website running YOYO from one server to another in just a few minutes or seconds with ease, just as a the YOYO toy can be rolled up and down its string. YOYO performs many of the functions of multidimensional interactive databases without requiring any database and without dependence on external PHP scripts. While open source scripts can be easily assimilated to provide YOYO with additional functionality, YOYO is independent of all GNU, open source and other proprietary software. YOYO is not open source and is the exclusive property of its' programmers. As of January 2014 YOYO was in use by one website: yad1.org.
