Isaac du Toit is a New Zealand 14-year-old children's book author and historian who appreciates 17th and 18th century British and Royal history. He is known for his A Children's Guide To Splendour, which is a book about an exhibition that used to be at Te Papa (the National Museum of New Zealand. The guide contains information relating to life in Europe in the 16th to 18th centuries. Most recently Isaac has written A Children's Guide to Lisa Walker a book about Lisa Walker's work. Lisa Walker is a New Zealand jeweller Lisa Walker's work "questions conventional concepts about jewellery's beauty and wearability" The book unpacks Lisa's jewellery for a young audience. Greenwood Manor is another book Isaac has recently written This book is a fictional work based around the Greenwood Portraits, a collection of portraits from the National Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa Tongarewa. Museums Isaac in 2016 Isaac co-founded The Pukerua Bay School Museum one of Aotearoa New Zealand's newest museums - the brainchild of three Primary school students: Isaac and Paddy and Aurelia. Isaac and his friends made the museum in 2016. They came up with the idea when walking along their school field. They went on to speak at MA17, the Museums Aotearoa conference. Isaac has also been interviewed on the New Zealand children's television program What Now with Paddy and Aurelia. Isaac has now left the Pukerua Bay School Museum and it is run by Paddy and Aurelia and Isaac's replacement, Kia, who is now the history curator. Notable Works Notable works include The Diamond of Doom and Desire and Noah Edward Omnibus and Glorious Stories and Noah Edward and the Chase for Vengeance. Isaac worked on these with Paddy Rockell. Their most recent work is Death in The Village which was published in paperback on June 7, 2018.
