Philippe Maidenberg (born August 4, 1966) is a French architect and designer, residing in Paris. Maidenberg is an architect, interior and furnishing designer known for his work in hotel projects throughout Paris. Philippe’s firm Maidenberg Architecture was established in 1991. He has a creative and eclectic style, as exemplified in the projects Hotel 34B, Hotel Grand Amour, Hotel Bel Ami, Hotel Le Six, Joke Hotel and Hotel 123 Sebastopol, which was honored with the World Luxury Boutique Award in 2015. Early life Maidenberg decided on a focus of study. Inspired by his uncle, who was an architect, Philippe studied architecture and design. His parents owned a tour operator company and travel agencies. He chose hospitality design. Education Philippe received his architecture degree in 1990 from the architecture school of Paris-Malaquais. As part of his studies, Philippe took part in a three-year internship of hands-on training at the Grand Louvre pyramid construction site with Ieoh Ming Pei and Partners. On choosing the Louvre Pyramid site as his focus of study, Philippe says, “I knocked on the door and they opened the world of architecture to me in many ways”. This was followed by an internship at the Murphy/Jahn agency in Chicago where Philippe worked on his first hotel - a Hyatt near Paris CDG Airport. Career Philippe Maidenberg is known to use innovative design.
