Philip Villa

Philip Villa, also known as Philip Yokkao, is a martial artist and entrepreneur from Italy. He is the founder of Yokkao.
Martial arts
Villa is a former fighter and a combat sports fan since he was a kid growing up in northern Italy. He arrived in Thailand in 2007 where he trained and fought out of Sityodtong Muay Thai Gym in Pattaya. During this period, he had the opportunity to know many fighters as well as learn about the Muay Thai industry in depth.
Yokkao Company
Philip Villa founded Yokkao in 2010 as a Muay Thai gear and sportwsear manufacturer. The Bangkok-based company has grown to a fully-integrated Muay Thai company that promotes international events, worldwide seminars, with a global team of sponsored fighters.
In 2012, Villa organized the first official Yokkao event at Forum d’Assago in Milan, Italy. The show was sold out with approximately 12,000 attendees. Title YOKKAO Extreme, the event featured many of the world's top striking stars in one of the biggest Muay Thai and kickboxing shows ever promoted.
After YOKKAO Extreme, Villa returned to Pattaya in 2013 where he promoted three back-to-back events.
In 2014, Villa partnered with UK promoter, Brian Calder to promote YOKKAO 8. To date, Villa and Calder have promoted over 20 events in the UK.
Philip Villa has signed numerous world champions to the Yokkao Fight Team and promotions over the years. Some of the Muay Thai and kickboxing champions include Buakaw Banchamek, Saenchai, Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee, Dzhabar Askerov, Singdam Kiatmuu9, Liam Harrison, Jordan Watson and many more.
Yokkao Training Center Bangkok
Villa started the Yokkao Training Center Bangkok in 2016. He managed to secure elite fighters like Singdam Kiatmuu9, Saenchai and Manachai to train in the camp. The training center is open to tourists and has been visited by celebrities such as DNCE’s Joe Jonas, model Mia Kang, football players and many others.
Yokkao Training Center Bangkok has also been featured in notable media outlets including CNN, National Geographic Travel and Wall Street Journal.
Yokkao distribution network
In order to provide faster delivery, lower shipping costs and the full range of Yokkao products to their international customer base, Villa launched Yokkao warehouses in Thailand, Republic of San Marino and Las Vegas. This logistic strategy makes YOKKAO the first and only Muay Thai brand to be globally distributed.
Present
In 2018, Villa moved back to Italy to kickstart a new project which will be launched in 2021.
