Peter Van Voorhis

Peter Thomas Van Voorhis (born April 21, 1996) is an American Republican activist. He is a California Republican Party Delegate from Orange County.
Early life
Van Voorhis was born in Northern California. He moved to Carlsbad, California in elementary school, and completed his primary and secondary education there. He currently resides in Orange County, California, and is a finance student at the University of California, Irvine. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
Van Voorhis' interest in politics began at the age of four, when he received a book on the United States Presidents for his birthday. He soon began to develop a passion for conservative politics after reading books on American history and government.
Van Voorhis began his community involvement in high school as a Second Amendment activist. He founded a pro-Second Amendment FaceBook group that grew to several thousand fans within a few months. He also spent much of high school working on his first business, a YouTube channel that grew to several thousand subscribers and millions of views.
Political career
Van Voorhis began his political career working closely with the Lincoln Club of Orange County, a pro-business group that stands for limited government, fiscal discipline, and personal responsibility. From there, he became involved with College Republicans and Young America's Foundation, where he helped fight for conservative values on campus. Van Voorhis has been featured on Fox Nation, TheBlaze, Campus Reform, and the Daily Caller, most recently for exposing a biology professor who blamed gun owners for mass shootings.
Van Voorhis serves on the Ted Cruz for President campaign. He is currently running for the Orange County Republican Party Central Committee in the 74th Assembly District.
Personal life
Van Voorhis currently resides in Irvine, California. He is passionate about defending conservative principles, and is an avid reader.
