Peter Mazzoni M.D. (November 25, 1959 - December 29, 1990) was an American physician. Family Mother: Dolores Mazzoni Father: Andrew Mazzoni Brother: Paul Mazzoni Sister: Donna Mazzoni Education and career 1983 * Graduated from The School of Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo at the age of 23. * Internship at Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center ** Resident to Chief Medical Resident to Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Einstein an Temple University School of Medicine * Research and Education Consultant, AIDS Task Force of Philadelphia. ** Provided educational programs to medical and community groups on the clinical, epidemiologic and social issues surrounding AIDS. 1984 * Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners as well as a member of the American College of Physicians 1987 * Became Attending Physician in the Albert Einstein Department of Emergency Medicine * Became a member of the Board of Directors of Philadelphia Community Health Alternatives/AIDS Task force of Philadelphia * Medical Director of the PCHA clinic for sexually transmitted diseases (STD’s) * Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine 1989 * Left Albert Einstein and Joined Greater Atlantic Health Services in the Practice of Internal Medicine 1986-1990 * Co-Chair of the John Locke Fund Committee Death and legacy * Died December 29, 1990, of complications relating to AIDS * In 2003 the PCHA sexually transmitted disease clinic was renamed the Mazzoni Center in his memory. * The Albert Einstein Medical Center Department of Medicine has established the Peter M.
