Peter Marcato

Peter Marcato (born 1982) is an Australian radio personality and sports broadcaster, appearing on SEN 1116 and Plenty Valley FM.

Radio style/mannerisms
Marcato appears as a freelancer on two stations predominantly, Triple M and SEN 1116. He has previously appeared on 88.6 Plenty Valley FM, a community station near Whittlesea, Victoria predominantly calling football matches in the Northern Football League.

On Triple M, he is utilised as a sports newsreader who reads hourly bulletins for sport.

On SEN, he is utilised as the host of World Sport Overnight as a fill-in summer host. While on radio he has a tendency to use phrases such as "working beautifully" and referring to people as "one" (for example, on January 12, 2006 when British radio presenter Ian Collins was a guest in the studio he introduced the man as "one Ian Collins").

Summer of 2005/2006
In the summer of 2005-2006, Marcato was worked into the ground work wise. His role on Triple M continued for a long period of time during the afternoons, while from midnight to 6am, he completed a wealth of overnight shifts on World Sport Overnight, filling in for not only Tony Schibeci on weekdays, but Brett Phillips on weekends. However on January 16, 2006, Schibeci finally took over from Marcato in a stretch that lasted from mid-December.

With the absence of the Gladiators of Sport panel (Steven Peak, Howard Leigh and Troy Zantuck), Marcato has hosted with, as he calls him, "one Craig Moore".

Marcato also is a commentator for sporting events, and called the 2006 Commonwealth Games swimming trials. He holds a Bachelor of Media Studies with Honours degree, from La Trobe University.

Swinburne University
