Peter Mangione

Peter Mangione (born August 25, 2001) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for MLS Next Pro team FC Cincinnati 2. He played college soccer for the , earning two-time honors.
Early life and college career
Mangione grew up in a soccer family in Hunt Valley, Maryland, and attended Dulaney High School.

Mangione scored 6 goals with 6 assists in 11 games in his freshman season with the (which was held in the spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic) and was named to the Big Ten Conference all-freshman team. He led the team with 8 goals and added 2 assists in 16 games, repeating as first-team All-Big Ten.
Club career
FC Cincinnati 2
Mangione signed his first professional contract on February 27, 2024, signing an MLS Next Pro contract with FC Cincinnati 2. He scored his first goal for the team on April 2, 2024, scoring the second goal in a 4-1 victory over Atlanta United 2. He finished his first professional season with 2 goals and 3 assists, appearing in all 28 games as Cincinnati 2 won the Eastern Conference regular-season title.
Mangione was called up to FC Cincinnati for the first time on February 18, 2025, ahead of games in the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup.
Personal life
Mangione is the youngest of five children born to Sam and Katie Mangione. He is a cousin of Luigi Mangione, a man who was arrested in connection with the killing of Brian Thompson in 2024. He is also the cousin of Nino Mangione, a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, and the grandson of real estate developer and Maryland businessman Nicholas Mangione.
