Peter Maneos

Peter "Pietros" Maneos (born December 16, 1979) is an American author. He was raised in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
Peter attended The Haverford School and Northfield Mount Hermon before attending The University of Miami where he majored in English Literature and minored in Classical Antiquity. He first gained notoriety within popular culture in 2001 with his appearance in the famed Abercrombie and Fitch Quarterly photographed by Bruce Weber. After this, he became a well-known model appearing in International Male, BodyBodyWear and a plethora of fitness magazines.
In 2001, Peter under the pen name 'Pietros Maneos' published a poetry collection, The Soul of A Young Man (Rome: S. Perrocchi) Due to its Baroque style and emotional intensity, his poetry was compared to that of Pablo Neruda, Algernon Charles Swinburne, and Lord Byron.
In 2005, Pietros published his second work, Poems of Blood and Passion.
Maneos is presently finishing a Satirical Poem that he began in 2002, titled American Bards & The London Reviewer, a poem which satirizes T.S. Eliot, Charles Bukowski, Allen Ginsberg, and Frank O'Hara.
In April of 2012, Aesthete Press published a novella written by Maneos titled 'The Italian Pleasures of Gabriele Paterkallos.' The epistolary novella details the illicit letters of the young Byronic poet Gabriele Paterkallos to the self-exiled American novelist residing in Paris, Odysseus Pane, a man infamous throughout France and beyond as a libertine.
