Peter J. Burns III

Peter J. Burns III is a community builder and a serial entrepreneur based in Del Mar, California.
Biography
Peter J. Burns III was born in 1956. His father was an advertising executive. Peter J. Burns grew up in New Canaan, Connecticut. He graduated from the United States Military Academy Preparatory School. Burns studied in Harvard Business School's Owners and Presidents Management Program from 1986 to 1987. He remains the youngest participant in the HBS OPM Program since its inception in 1972.
In 1980, Burns founded Island Beach Company, which integrated beach stores with the rental business. In 1987, Burns was one of the founding members of the international network of entrepreneurs - Young Entrepreneurs Organization.
In 2006, Burns taught at Grand Canyon University. Together with Brent Richardson, Burns founded a College of Entrepreneurship at Grand Canyon University.
In 2007 he was awarded a Businessperson of the Year (Arizona) In 2016, Burns started Burns Funding, which helps entrepreneurs to get funding for their businesses through alternative funding resources.
Burns founded the Millennial Queenmakers program in 2021.
