Pedal Pad

Pedal Pad Link label is the name for a range of guitar effects pedalboards/pedal boards invented in 2001 by Michael Stratton of Topeka, Kansas. Stratton's company, MKS Professional Stage Products, Inc. (MKS) produces a range of guitar effects pedalboards, power supplies and routing modules. Pedal Pad's patented designed gives electric guitar players the option to continuously change their effect's set-up. Its two-tier modular design allow guitarists to place pedals on either the upper or lower tiers (stair-step mode), or they may raise the panels on the bottom tier to produce a single plain, where larger pedals can reside. This unique design feature can be implemented on any section of the lower tier. For many years, guitar players have had pedal boards constructed that do not allow for changes to their effects set-up.
The original Pedal Pad range of products that were released in 2002 included models RM-10 and JP-10. The RM-10 earned MKS one of the only perfect scores in the history of Guitar Player magazine's monthly "Bench Test", section March 2002. Guitar Player awarded the RM-10 five picks each in the categories of Flexibility, Materials and Value.
MKS now produces two product ranges of pedalboards; MPS and AXS. Both of these product ranges offer a much lower profile than the RM-10 and JP-10 predecessors. The MPS range includes the MPS II and MPS-XL II, which feature an on-board power supply module (Power Pad II) as well as adjustable aluminum panels, which allow players to conceal cable routings below their surface. Patch Pad, a stereo routing module can also be added as a module in the MPS products to give players the ability to neatly organize their cable routings. The AXS range includes three models, AXS II, AXS-XL II and the AXS Road Buddy. AXS models feature a hinged pedal surface which allows players to quickly access the lower compartment of the pedal board.
