Scott Ian Martin (born Feb 17,1982) known by his stage name Peanut Steiner is the drummer for the UK Indie/Rock band The No Tomorrows, As well as co-founder of Osiris Records, a record label primarily formed with the sole intention of releasing their recorded material.

He attended West Park Community School in Spondon, Derbyshire and then South East Derbyshire College in Ilkeston, Derbys, which finalised in him recieving a BTEC First Diploma in Performing Arts. During this time, he was a big admirer of Police drummer Stewart Copeland, who would strongly influence his highly accented drumming style. After jobs as a restaurant cleaner and a Royal Mail postman, he attended Broxtowe College in Nottingham, culminating in him recieving an Access To Music (ATM) Pass.
From the age of 12, Scott knew that he wanted to be a drummer. His first music gigs were mostly around the Derby area, playing in various short lived outfits, His second ever gig being held at The Assembly Rooms,Derby as a member of the Derby based Indie band, Pressure.
Origin of nickname Peanut has stated that he gained his nickname whilst frequenting nightclubs in his late teens. One night, while dancing in a club, He noted someone calling him Peanut (This he maintains was probably due to his high cheekbones and shaven head).
The No Tomorrows
In May 2007, Peanut made a call to fellow ex-bandmate Baz Kane (He was a member in his previous band, Zero 2 Seven, 2 years previous), asking to rejoin ranks with him with his then solo project, The No Tomorrows. A rehearsal was agreed, and he impressed Baz once again with his uncompromising talent and skill (he competently performed all heard material upon this session). He was offered the job without any hesitation.
A while later, In January 2008 after a few bassists were auditioned and failed to impress them, Tony Start (A friend of Peanuts stemming from another short-lived band, Fifteen Dead) was given the role of Bassist, and they competently rehearsed material.
Although their initial sound was punk inspired, [ make a unique sound, embellished with Jazz tinged nuances and Indie soundscapes.
Within a matter of a few months, and a handful of gigs, The No Tomorrows found a distribution deal of all nationwide UK HMV stores with Beathut, a UK Hip-Hop label who, in a turnaround, were looking to distribute Indie bands music.
