PCS Revenue Control Systems is a food management technology company and producer of point of sale terminals and related devices and software based in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. Its main focus is educational institutions' food service programs. The company was founded in 1986. It is considered a leader in the industry of school food service POS systems with more than 30,000 point-of-sale terminals sold to school districts nationwide in the United States.
Product line
The main product of PCS is POS devices. Its current POS product line includes the ALANA, Origami Tablet, SilenTouch, and Dell Touch POS terminals, FRED and NED pinpads, and FastTrak and 3D-POS software. The company also markets automated appliances including NetCash kiosks (for depositing money into student accounts, and EZeats and Minnie Meal Center vending machines.
PayPams
In addition to its point of sale product line, PCS, in cooperation with Elavon and RK software, operates an online banking style system for managing student accounts known as PayPAMS. The system requires parents wishing to use the service to register annually for a fee of $10 USD per student. It allows parents to add money to their child(ren)'s account(s) online or by phone, view the account statement(s), and receive low balance notifications. In addition to managing school cafeteria accounts, parents can pay for athletics, before and after school care, field trips, test fees, community education, transportation, and other school activities and services with the program. The site, paypams.com, is accessed by more than 105,000 users monthly.
