Paul Kastel (born 1927) is a German-Canadian art dealer and benefactor, art collector, and owner of Montreal's Kastel Gallery. He sold his first work in 1950 - an A. Y. Jackson - for $250. Paul Kastel was instrumental in promoting numerous Canadian artists that he represented from the 1950s until his retirement in 2006. Most notably, Kastel was the executor of the estate of Canadian artist Fritz Brandtner, with whom he shared a close friendship. He also purchased the estate of sisters Rose Wiselberg and Fanny Wiselberg. Paul Kastel and his partner Anthony Nevin encouraged many young artists by purchasing works and establishing the historically significant Kastel Gallery in the heart of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The Gallery closed in 2006.
