Paul Derek Jolley (born January 27, 1990) is an American singer, who came in ninth place on the twelfth season of American Idol. He is from Palmersville, Tennessee. He is a member of the Churches of Christ, having grown up in the Seven Oaks congregation of nearby Mayfield, Kentucky. American Idol Overview Jolley auditioned in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with the song "". In the semi-finals, Jolley performed "Just a Fool" by Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton. On March 7, 2013, Jolley was voted into the Top 10. However, he received the lowest amount of votes after his Top 9 performance, and was sent home on March 21, 2013 after the judges decided against using their "Judges' Save" power.
