Paul F. Glenn (1930-2020) was a successful commodities trader who helped form Cycad Group, a venture capital firm based in Santa Barbara. He was born and raised in Sharon, Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy ('48), Princeton University ('52) and Harvard Law School ('55). He helped form the Glenn Foundation for Medical Research in 1965, which is known as the world's oldest private philanthropic funder for aging research. In 2005, he helped commit $5 million to Harvard Medical School over five years to launch the Paul F. Glenn Laboratories for the Biological Mechanisms of Aging.
