Paul Alpert

Paul Alpert, sometimes credited as Pesach Simcha, is an American drummer and percussionist best known as a member of the Jewish rock bands , Blanket Statementstein, and Moshe Hecht Band.
Career
Originally a secular Jew, Alpert became interested in religion after playing in a band that specialized in Hasidic weddings and converted to the Chabad-Lubavitch branch of Judaism. Following this change, he joined the Jewish dance-punk band Blanket Statementstein, with whose members he later created several other bands, most notably the hardcore punk group . In 2010, he joined the folk rock Moshe Hecht Band as the percussionist. Other projects include his brother Josh Alpert's bands White Shabbos and The Mr. Shabbos Show, as well as the Jewish reggae group RockaZion.
