Patrik Bolling Ferrel was a Swedish musician of Chilean descent born in 1976 and killed on November 7 in 2007 by a motorist in Stockholm, Sweden. Patrik was the founder of the band Tristes Tigres, known for their fusion of hip-hop, soca, reggae and Puerto Rican reggae hybrid reggaeton. His lyrics were both in English and in Spanish and often dealt with subjects like alienation and identity. Patrik also founded the organization The Inbetweenship (Mellanförskapet). An organization devoted to challenging the norms of what alienation is, The Inbetweenship promotes writers that are of mixed ethnical backgrounds. |
