Pat Hayford

Pat Hayford is an international musician and a performer who composes and orchestrates songs that touches the soul, encourages the burdened, speaks reality and rejuvenates the mind. Born in Ghana in West Africa to Joseph Hayford (An Accountant) and Elizabeth Dadzie (Community Health Nurse), he learnt Piano from his grandfather who was also an African indigenous and High-Life music composer. At the age of 4years, Piano became Pat Hayford’s main instrument, even though he loved dancing, playing drums, percussions, bass guitar, saxophone and other instruments. He was the star kid growing up in Ghana because of his talent and smiley face appearing in many kids talent shows-dancing, playing, acting or singing. Pat Hayford was famously known as Captain Smiley because he always had the biggest smile at every event. At the age of 10years, he was named the assistant director of a Presbyterian Church choir, playing instruments, teaching hymnals and conducting during choir competitions. Not only was Pat Hayford musically inclined, he was a good actor and very good academically; graduating from Senior Secondary School at the age of 13years, Pat Hayford desired to live a life outside his comfortable environment to pursue what he loved. His love for music made him discover his vocal talent; which was pointed out by one incredible Dr. Class-Peters in New York. Dr. Class-Peters was an outstanding father who took Pat Hayford under his wings, provided support both financially and psychologically when he was in New York. In New York, Pat Hayford had a best friend and a brother called Rev. Andy Martinson Boakye, whom he toured with all over United States as a Pianist and a gospel singer for crusades. Rev. Andy sadly passed away from a crucial illness. After the passing of Rev. Andy, Pat Hayford saw life in a different array. Appearing in many gospel concerts and also playing gigs in the New York metro, Pat Hayford decided to compose and record. His first album captioned “The Power of the Mind” was recorded by Raw Recordings Inc. in 2013. The album comprised of 10 songs with multifarious rhythms (Destiny, Leaders, Journey, The Power of the Mind, In the Dark, Love Hands, Faded Lullaby, Try It Again, Hold Me and You). The album was inspired by the circumstances Pat Hayford has resisted and his journey and effort towards health, wealth and peace in the world. Not only does Pat Hayford enjoy composing music, he is also a scholar who holds Bachelors of Science, Masters in Business Administration as well as PhD in Psychology; and a philanthropist who seeks the well-being of future leaders (Children, the youth-especially students); he runs a Not-for-Profit Organization called “The Peak HELP Foundation” solely dedicated to the brilliant youth who needs academic assistance financially, emotionally and psychologically.
